Bookmarks & Web Surfing
TOOLS FOR EXPLORING THE WEB

Welcome to my bookmarks and web surfing page at Kevin's Portal

On This Page:

INTRODUCTION

These are many sites that I use when bookmarking and surfing the web these days. There are a large number of tools and web applications available, each with varying applications and uses.

There are widgets associated with my various accounts in the column at right.

RELEVANT WEB APPLICATIONS AND SITES

  • Bundlr

This is a great new tool that allows you to curate content from various websites in the one bundle.

    See also:

  • Citebite

Citebite allows you to copy and paste a quote into a form, along with the URL of the source and then provides you with a link to the highlighted quote in the source page.

  • Citelighter

Citelighter allows you to highlight text and it is automatically cited.

  • Delicious

Delicious is my bookmarking tool of choice. Sure it doesn't do what Diigo does, but it is great for bookmarking itself.

  • Diigo

Diigo is a research bookmarking tool. With it you can bookmark, highlight, take notes and screenshots, access anywhere and share. A great tool.

  • Google Bookmarks

Google Bookmarks is my preferred manner of saving bookmarks whether using Internet Explorer or Chrome (usually Chrome).

  • Instapaper

Instapaper is a very useful tool that allows you to save unread webpages for later. You can also connect your Instapaper account with other services like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Evernote, allowing articles to be saved forever on another platform should you choose to do so.

  • Scrible

I don't actually use this site because I use Diigo, but it looks quite impressive also. This tool allows you to save websites, annotate them, organise them and access them anywhere from the cloud.

  • StumbleUpon

    A great web surfing tool.

  • Wonderpage

Wonderpage ia a bookmarking tool where you can organise bookmarks, share them and show snapshots of them.
